Jo & Richard’s Wedding Photography at the Manor of Groves Hotel

Jo & Richard chose the beautiful Manor of Groves for their July Wedding and reception, and in contrast to the last time we were there (with snow up to our ankles!) the day was the hottest of the year!

We arrived to a very cool and calm Jo, getting ready in the bridal suit with her 2 bridesmaids and the 2 mums! I stayed with Jo, whilst Mark went to find a slightly more nervous Richard in the bar (of course!) and we each took photographs of the two of them before the ceremony! We find it’s a great time in the morning to take some really lovely natural shots and one of my favourites of Jo is a calm moment applying her lippy just before we went down to the ceremony, and a nice one of Richard looking out of the window and towards the outdoor ceremony.

The couple got married outside in the beautiful sunshine and I love the very romantic pictures from the back. From the other direction Mark was able to capture the bright blue skies and the look on both the couples and guests faces as the couple exchanged their vows! Another great reason for having 2 photographers!

After the ceremony, the couple had their reception drinks outside and we took a few very relaxed pictures in and around the grounds of the Manor of Groves. Below are a few favourites, including this funny one of Jo revealing her Tottenham Hotspurs blue garter, which caused much hilarity, especially to the contrasting supporters!

We stayed on to cover the speeches, which were both emotional and hilarious at the same time! A truly fantastic day with a really happy and friendly couple – we wish them both every happiness in their marriage and future together.

A lovely Thank you from Lorraine & Edward’s Wedding at the Manor of Groves

We always work hard at Weddings to make sure our couples get the perfect pictures, but we also work hard at keeping both our couples and their guests happy too! We got a lovely thank you letter from Lorraine & Edward this week, which we were so happy to receive and thought we’d share with you!

Hi Rachel and Mark

Thank you so much, I have just picked up your email and would like to say a massive thank you for all your hard work!  We thought that you were extremely professional on the day and would like to thank you both sincerely for all your hard work.

The effort that you both made was so professional.  We really can’t thank you enough for making such an effort in what was terrible weather conditions with all that heavy snow!!  You were both so professional and arrived on time, despite all the snow and ice and we really appreciated that.  So many of our guests commented on how professional you both were and also what friendly nice people you both are too.

The photos are amazing, we came back from our honeymoon only a couple of days ago and the CD was waiting for us on our doorstep.  We are both thrilled with the photos and they brought tears to our eyes as we had no idea that they would come out so well and be so beautiful.

We will spend the next couple of weeks trying to choose which ones we want to put in the album (going to be a very difficult job, as they are all so nice), however, in the meantime we really do once again want to say a very big thank you very much to you both for all your hard work.  We certainly will not hesitate in recommending your services to anyone.

Will be in touch soon,

Best Wishes for a successful new year.

Lorraine  xx

From Mark and I, we just wanted to say thanks for the letter Lorraine – it’s really lovely to get your positive feedback and we thoroughly enjoyed your big day! Good luck with your album selection and we look forward to hearing from you soon!

Another White Wedding at the Manor of Groves – Jessica & Stuarts Wedding Photography

The Wednesday before Christmas, Jessica & Stuart got married at the beautiful St Mary’s Church in Sawbridgeworth, then on to the Manor of Groves Hotel for their Wedding reception. It was another snowy day and the happy couple were delighted with the white wonderland, which made their dream day!

We started the day with Jessica at her parents house, to include some of the bridal prep with her sister and bridesmaids. The girls looked lovely in green dresses with pink accents (Jess’s favourite colour!) and Jess looked every bit the perfect bride in a long white dress with green accents and pink flowers to match her bridesmaids. We then met Stuart and the guys at the pub and photographed the guys and the guests arriving at the Church.

We took some lovely pictures both inside and outside of the church but one of my favourites is Jess & Stuart with their (open top!!) Wedding Car.

We then drove very carefully on to the Manor of Groves and welcomed the happy couple inside, after a few quick shots out the front of the Hotel (below) and in the garden’s outside! We took many beautiful shots throughout the day, including a big group one of the whole wedding party in the snow, which was great and lots of the happy couple!

Both Jess & Stuart and their families were really fun and we both felt like we’d made some more friends in the two of them. We wish them both a very happy marriage and hope they love their White Wedding Photographs!

Festive wishes!

A truly White Wedding at Manor of Groves – Lorraine & Edwards Wedding

Well, what a week! We’ve had inches of snow and not one, but two white winter weddings at the Manor of Groves!

Last Friday we shot the Wedding of Lorraine & Edward at the lovely Manor of Groves Hotel in Essex. We started the day at home with Lorraine and the girls, then slid our way to St Jame’s Church in Thorley, then onto the Manor of Groves for their reception!

The snow was thick on the ground and I was grateful for my fingerless mittens (until Mark stole one because he said he couldn’t feel his fingers anymore!) but it didn’t hold anyone up and we took some absolutely beautiful shots in the day!

Lorraine looked fantastic in a long white dress and her daughter Chloe looked equally as lovely in her white bridesmaid dress and fluffy jacket. Edward looked dapper in his suit and as a family, they looked amazing! One of my favorite shots is below at the Manor of Groves under the pergola, which I think truly sums up the happiness of their day! I also love the one of Lorraine on her own and a fun confetti photograph taken at the lynch gate.

I think Lorraine would kill me if I’d added the one of her walking up to the church in her Ugg boots, but I think she was highly sensible and it added to the fun of the day! :-)

We also photographed Jessica & Stuarts Wedding today, which was a lot of fun and again filled with snowy pictures, however we’ll post some pictures in the New year as it’s nearly Christmas and I still haven’t wrapped any presents…!

I think this will be our last post before Christmas, so we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you in the New Year!

Best wishes!

Rachel & Mark xx
