Amanda & Bradley’s Wedding Photography at Parklands, Quendon Park

Amanda & Bradley were the 1st of our April’s couples and chose the beautiful Parklands for their Spring Wedding!

Sadly, they were met with some April showers, but this didn’t stop the happy couple from having a wonderful day! Both Amanda & Bradley were really excited about their big day and as they were getting married on a Thursday, they took advantage of our fantastic Parklands mid week photography package, which included both bridal and groom preparation shots before the ceremony. Some of my favourites from the morning are below and whilst we only managed to get out outside onto the Parklands grand entrance doorway, we took some lovely pictures inside the house, including this really happy one infront of Parklands signature red wall!

A truly lovely couple – we wish them a really happy future together!

Carly & Adam’s Beautiful Wedding Day at Ponsbourne Park.

Carly & Adam chose the beautiful St Mary’s Church at Newgate Street followed by Ponsbourne Park for their fairytale wedding day!

We arrived bright and early and whilst I stayed with Carly and the girls to capture the excitement of the morning and them getting ready, Mark headed off to the pub with the guys (he gets all the good jobs!) to take some pictures of Adam with his 2 best men and groomsmen.

Both the couple hid their nerves well and were really excited about their big day. Some of my favourites from the morning were of Carly in the bridal suite at Ponsbourne and of Adam and his best men at the church, although there were plenty of beautiful pictures to choose from as Carly looked every bit the perfect bride!

Following a lovely church ceremony, we headed back to Ponsbourne and managed to duck in and out of the rainy showers to take some lovely pictures of the happy couple in and around the hotel grounds. I would never have dreamt of asking Carly to walk over the grass to the bridge, but she was a real star and absolutely determined to make the most of the lovely photo opportunities! Her efforts paid off as we took this beautiful shot of Carly on the bridge and the one below of them both infront of Ponsbourne as well as some romantic shots in and around the grounds!

We covered their speeches and took some fantastic natural reportage shots, then Mark stayed on to cover their first dance and also the cutting of their fabulous Disney princess castle cake, which was amazing and had survived the long trip down from Birmingham in Carly’s car (a minor miracle in itself!). A lovely day with a lovely couple – we hope they love their pictures and have a long and happy marriage as magical as their big day!

Katie & Tom – a beautiful February Wedding at Parklands!

Katie & Tom booked us to cover their beautiful February wedding at Parklands, Quendon Park and from the word go, Mark and I thoroughly enjoyed the day!

I spent the morning with the girls covering the bridal preparations, which started with hair and make-up on the third floor and then progressed to the bridal suite to get Katie into her beautiful black and white Wedding dress, which co-ordinated perfectly with her bridesmaids’ black dresses and bright pink Gerbera flowers! One of my favourite shots is the girls well and truly rallying around Katie to get her ready for the ceremony on time – time always flies when you’re having fun!!

Mark spent the morning with the guys (the beauty of having 2 photographers!) and took some great shots in one of the rooms of Tom with his best man and his parents lending a helping hand to get him all suited and booted for his big day!

Another of my favourite shots from the day was the middle one below, which features Tom seeing his bride for the first time – it’s a great shot to have and one which I hope they will love too!

The weather held out and we were able to get outside to take some lovely shots around the Parklands house and a big one of the whole wedding party infront of the fountain, but one of my other favorites is inside the house infront of the Parklands signature red wall with the couple looking so happy! Perfect!

Mark continued coverage until past the first dance and then headed home! A big thanks to Katie, Tom and their family for making us feel so welcome! Congratulations and all the best for a happy future together!

Kirsty & Edward’s Wedding Photography at Parklands, Quendon Park.

Parklands, Quendon Park is one of our favourite wedding venues and for Kirsty and Edward it was the perfect venue for their winter wedding!

We arrived nice and early and met Kirsty, her mum and the girls up on the third floor mid hair, make-up and champagne! I stayed with the girls and took some lovely natural ones of Kirsty, whilst Mark went to the guys and took some pictures of the guys getting ready and a few inside the house.

Kirsty looked beautiful in a long ivory dress and the pictures we took in the bridal suite matched the elegance of the day!

We continued coverage throughout the ceremony and drinks reception and even got a few pictures outside, including this romantic one at the back of the house, before going back indoors in favour of the cozy log fire in the drawing room and taking lots of natural reportage photographs of their guests!

Kirsty and Edward were a lovely couple and we had a lot of laughs when poor Edward referred to Kirsty as a HGV (he meant in the aspect of a wide turning circle in the dress), but we teased him about it for the rest of the day, and I’m sure Kirsty had hours of fun with that one too!

Another lovely Wedding at Parklands and congratulations to Kirsty & Edward!

The last Wedding of 2009 – Katie & Mark, North Weald

Filed under: Essex Wedding Photography,Wedding Photography,Winter Wedding — expression @ 7:51 pm

Our last Wedding of 2009 was on 30th December with Katie & Mark. They chose the lovely Magdalen Laver Church in North Weald for their Wedding Ceremony and had a beautiful marquee for their intimate Wedding Reception!

We arrived at Katie’s parents house in the morning to cover the bridal prep and to check out the beautiful marquee. Katie looked absolutely stunning in a beautiful coffee coloured dress with pink and cream accents – I absolutely loved her dress and she looked so beautiful! We spent a couple of hours with her and the girls at her parents house and then went on to meet the guys at the church!

We met with a slightly nervous Mark at Magdalen Laver and took a few shots there before the guests and bridal party arrived, then continued coverage throughout the ceremony and back to the marquee!

Below are a couple of our favourite shots – one of Katie at her parents house in the morning, one of Mark at the Church and a couple of the happily married couple back at the marquee (complete with glitter ball!) and cutting the cake!

It was smiles all round, especially as we were there to cover the speeches too, which were very well done and accompanied by the traditional embarrassing photographs of the groom throughout his earlier years! :-) . Katie and Mark were a really lovely couple and had a wonderful Wedding day! Congratulations to them both and we wish them a very happy marriage!

A lovely Thank you from Lorraine & Edward’s Wedding at the Manor of Groves

We always work hard at Weddings to make sure our couples get the perfect pictures, but we also work hard at keeping both our couples and their guests happy too! We got a lovely thank you letter from Lorraine & Edward this week, which we were so happy to receive and thought we’d share with you!

Hi Rachel and Mark

Thank you so much, I have just picked up your email and would like to say a massive thank you for all your hard work!  We thought that you were extremely professional on the day and would like to thank you both sincerely for all your hard work.

The effort that you both made was so professional.  We really can’t thank you enough for making such an effort in what was terrible weather conditions with all that heavy snow!!  You were both so professional and arrived on time, despite all the snow and ice and we really appreciated that.  So many of our guests commented on how professional you both were and also what friendly nice people you both are too.

The photos are amazing, we came back from our honeymoon only a couple of days ago and the CD was waiting for us on our doorstep.  We are both thrilled with the photos and they brought tears to our eyes as we had no idea that they would come out so well and be so beautiful.

We will spend the next couple of weeks trying to choose which ones we want to put in the album (going to be a very difficult job, as they are all so nice), however, in the meantime we really do once again want to say a very big thank you very much to you both for all your hard work.  We certainly will not hesitate in recommending your services to anyone.

Will be in touch soon,

Best Wishes for a successful new year.

Lorraine  xx

From Mark and I, we just wanted to say thanks for the letter Lorraine – it’s really lovely to get your positive feedback and we thoroughly enjoyed your big day! Good luck with your album selection and we look forward to hearing from you soon!

Another White Wedding at the Manor of Groves – Jessica & Stuarts Wedding Photography

The Wednesday before Christmas, Jessica & Stuart got married at the beautiful St Mary’s Church in Sawbridgeworth, then on to the Manor of Groves Hotel for their Wedding reception. It was another snowy day and the happy couple were delighted with the white wonderland, which made their dream day!

We started the day with Jessica at her parents house, to include some of the bridal prep with her sister and bridesmaids. The girls looked lovely in green dresses with pink accents (Jess’s favourite colour!) and Jess looked every bit the perfect bride in a long white dress with green accents and pink flowers to match her bridesmaids. We then met Stuart and the guys at the pub and photographed the guys and the guests arriving at the Church.

We took some lovely pictures both inside and outside of the church but one of my favourites is Jess & Stuart with their (open top!!) Wedding Car.

We then drove very carefully on to the Manor of Groves and welcomed the happy couple inside, after a few quick shots out the front of the Hotel (below) and in the garden’s outside! We took many beautiful shots throughout the day, including a big group one of the whole wedding party in the snow, which was great and lots of the happy couple!

Both Jess & Stuart and their families were really fun and we both felt like we’d made some more friends in the two of them. We wish them both a very happy marriage and hope they love their White Wedding Photographs!

Festive wishes!

A truly White Wedding at Manor of Groves – Lorraine & Edwards Wedding

Well, what a week! We’ve had inches of snow and not one, but two white winter weddings at the Manor of Groves!

Last Friday we shot the Wedding of Lorraine & Edward at the lovely Manor of Groves Hotel in Essex. We started the day at home with Lorraine and the girls, then slid our way to St Jame’s Church in Thorley, then onto the Manor of Groves for their reception!

The snow was thick on the ground and I was grateful for my fingerless mittens (until Mark stole one because he said he couldn’t feel his fingers anymore!) but it didn’t hold anyone up and we took some absolutely beautiful shots in the day!

Lorraine looked fantastic in a long white dress and her daughter Chloe looked equally as lovely in her white bridesmaid dress and fluffy jacket. Edward looked dapper in his suit and as a family, they looked amazing! One of my favorite shots is below at the Manor of Groves under the pergola, which I think truly sums up the happiness of their day! I also love the one of Lorraine on her own and a fun confetti photograph taken at the lynch gate.

I think Lorraine would kill me if I’d added the one of her walking up to the church in her Ugg boots, but I think she was highly sensible and it added to the fun of the day! :-)

We also photographed Jessica & Stuarts Wedding today, which was a lot of fun and again filled with snowy pictures, however we’ll post some pictures in the New year as it’s nearly Christmas and I still haven’t wrapped any presents…!

I think this will be our last post before Christmas, so we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you in the New Year!

Best wishes!
