Natural & Relaxed Wedding Photography at Mulberry House | Jodie & Sam (and Alfie the Dog)

From the very beginning, Jodie and Sam envisioned a wedding full of energy, music, and unforgettable moments — a day where every guest would leave saying, “that was the best wedding I’ve ever been to.” Their incredible wedding at Mulberry House delivered exactly that, combining personality, emotion, and a relaxed atmosphere from start to finish.

Set within the beautiful Essex countryside, Mulberry House provided the perfect backdrop for a celebration that felt elegant yet completely unforced. Sam looked effortlessly sharp in a bespoke Sartoria Rossi suit, while Jodie’s bridesmaids wore soft, romantic tones that complemented the venue beautifully. The groomsmen brought plenty of charm and laughter, and the flower girls stole hearts as they scattered petals down the aisle.

Jodie’s entrance was filled with emotion and nostalgia as she walked in with her dad to an acoustic version of What Dreams Are Made Of. Even their dog Alfie played a starring role, confidently making his way down the aisle before unexpectedly diving straight into the pond — a moment of pure, joyful chaos that summed up the spirit of the day perfectly.

After the ceremony, guests spilled out into the gardens to enjoy cocktails, canapés, and live acoustic music in the sunshine. Mini golf and freshly shucked oysters added a playful twist, creating a sociable, laid-back atmosphere that was ideal for natural & relaxed wedding photography at Mulberry House. As a wedding photographer Essex couples trust for natural storytelling, these moments of laughter and connection are always some of my favourites to capture.

The wedding breakfast continued the relaxed vibe, with soulful live music and a menu designed to impress, including lobster ravioli and honey and soy glazed duck. Every detail reflected Jodie and Sam’s desire to create a day that felt personal and memorable rather than traditional.

As evening fell, the marquee transformed for a night of incredible music and dancing. A saxophonist set the mood before the band filled the dance floor with energy. One of the most emotional moments came during Bamboléo, a tribute to Sam’s late father that had guests dancing and crying all at once — a powerful moment perfectly suited to natural wedding photography, where real emotion tells the story.

The celebrations continued into a relaxed day-two party at Mulberry House, complete with a ball pit, bouncy castle, acoustic music, and high tea on the lawns. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable wedding weekend.

As a wedding photographer Essex couples choose me for Natural and relaxed wedding photography at Mulberry House, my focus is always on capturing weddings exactly as they unfold — full of genuine emotion, laughter, and beautifully imperfect moments that make each celebration truly unique.
